GENERAL FEATURES

The Postgraduate Program in Medical Microbiology (PPGMM) is linked to the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and it is based on the Department of Pathology and Legal Medicine of the College of Medicine of this University. Its areas of concentration and practice are included in the several branches of Medical Microbiology.

The Master's and Doctoral courses of this Postgraduate Program are classified as CAPES concept 5 (the maximum CAPES concept is 7).

Master's Degree

• The activities of the Master's studies must be developed in a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 24 months, with the addition of 03 months, when approved by the faculty of the Postgraduate Program, who will be in charge of informing the decision to the Office of Research of the Federal University of Ceará.
• The Master's studies require a minimum of 24 course credits plus 06 credits of the Master's dissertation, besides non-credit activities.

Doctoral Degree

• The activities of the Doctoral studies must be developed in a minimum of 18 months and a maximum of 48 months, with the addition of up to 06 months, when approved by the faculty of the Postgraduate Program, who will be in charge of informing the decision to the Office of Research of the Federal University of Ceará.
• The Doctoral studies require a minimum of 48 course credits plus 12 credits of the Doctoral thesis, besides non-credit activities.

The students will be enrolled at Federal University of Ceará, who will be responsible for issuing their Postgraduate Diplomas.
